Heather Hurlburt, MD, FACC

Heather HurlburtDr. Heather Hurlburt is a diagnostic cardiologist with special expertise in noninvasive imaging and Women’s Heart Health. She has completed training in the newest techniques of cardiovascular CT and MRI imaging.

Dr. Hurlburt received her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College, followed by her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at New York Presbyterian-Cornell Medical Center in New York City and then a three-year fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Massachusetts in 2007, and was recognized as chief cardiology fellow. During her cardiovascular training, she presented cutting-edge research involving echocardiography techniques at national cardiology conferences.

In addition to her involvement in specialized noninvasive imaging at CARI, Drs. Hurlburt and Jarbeau will be spearheading a Women’s Heart Health initiative, offering special cardiac services for women at Cardiovascular Associates.

Dr. Hurlburt is the newest member of Cardiovascular Associates, joining in 2007. She is originally from Niantic, CT. Outside of work, Dr. Hurlburt is a new mother and enjoys long distance running.
